Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking an HR Generalist for a growing team within a stable organization. We are looking for independent, self starters who are comfortable rolling up their sleeves and handling day:to:day HR functions as well as partnering with HR consultants to provide HR support to a specific business unit.

The successful candidate will provide HR generalist support for assigned business units with an emphasis in workforce management, staffing logistics, reporting, compensation management, and performance management. They will also support the HR team in advising management staff on relevant Human Resources policies and procedures as well as the impact of legislation, regulations, and precedents on the organization. Strong knowledge of California labor law is a must.

Roles and responsibilities would be as follows:

Partner with the HR consultants to manage the staffing requirements across the business unit providing guidance through the process from start to finish

Provide support to the HR consultant by running reports to analyze and compile data identifying trends within a specific business unit

Manage employee issues when needed including, managing poor performance, managing conflict and assessing risk.

Essential skills required:

BS degree in a related field

3:8 years of experience in an HR generalist role
Ability to independently handle employee performance management, employee counseling, grievances, staffing logistics, compensation management, etc.

Experience in MS Office Suite ? Emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel spreadsheet reporting

Working knowledge of HR laws, policies, and procedures

Compile and analyze data to report out on trends

Assist in identifying trends and establishing required goals and objectives

Excellent attention to detail to ensure data integrity is maintained

Possession of excellent oral and written communications skills

Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization

Possession of excellent judgment ? knowing when issues need to be escalated

Ability to multi:task and take direction from multiple people and work in a fast:paced, demanding environment

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
